Our IVF Journey: Exciting Euploid Embryo Results
Hi Friends!
The results we’ve all been anxiously waiting for are finally here — and we are feeling beyond grateful and excited to share them with you!
Of our five embryos, we received three euploid embryos!
You might be wondering: What exactly is a euploid embryo?
A euploid embryo has the correct number of chromosomes (46), meaning it has a normal genetic makeup. In IVF, a euploid embryo is considered ideal because it has the best chance of developing into a healthy baby.
Out of the three euploid embryos, one has the GJB2 gene, which means if transferred, that baby would likely be born with significant hearing loss or be deaf. After a lot of conversations, Ian and I have decided not to transfer this embryo at this time. We are keeping it frozen while we thoughtfully consider what the future may hold.
We are absolutely thrilled and so relieved with these results! To be honest, I had been bracing myself for the possibility of no transferable embryos — so this outcome feels like a beautiful, hope-filled surprise.
Earlier this month, we met with our doctor to discuss next steps. His recommendation was clear: if we have fewer than three embryos, he suggests another egg retrieval. His guideline is to aim for two embryos per future child, giving the best chance of success. As I’ve shared before, if it is God’s will, Ian and I would love to have two children someday.
Since two transferable embryos could realistically lead to one baby, we’ve decided to move forward with another egg retrieval. Our hope is that this next cycle will bring similar — or even better — results!
The best news? We can move directly into our next cycle without having to wait.
Remember that Northendrone I mentioned in my post IVF: Our Next Step on the Road to Baby Piz? It helps suppress your period, which means no downtime between cycles — and honestly, the side effects feel like nothing compared to the waiting!
Ian and I are coordinating our calendars, but right now the earliest we can start is on Monday, May 5th!
I’m also sharing a screenshot of our embryo report below. We tested through CooperGenomics, and the complete testing time for both PGT-A and PGT-M was 32 days — and let me tell you, it felt like the longest 32 days of my life!

But the wait was worth it… and there’s even a fun twist: four of our five embryos are girls!
Looks like we just might be destined to be girl parents. Ian even joked he saw an Instagram reel saying girl dads live longer — and honestly, I’m here for it! 💕
Our fertility journey has been such a humbling lesson in trust — not my timing, but His. Not my will, but His.
There have been so many moments when Ian has gently reminded me to surrender control and lean into faith. It’s so much easier said than done, but I can truly say I’ve come a long way since we started this journey two years ago.
Every month, every step — we believe — brings us closer to Baby Piz. We both feel deep in our hearts that parenthood is in our future. We may not know exactly what our path to becoming parents will look like, but we trust that God’s plan is greater than anything we could script ourselves.
This brings me to you —
- How do you handle trials in your life?
- Have you ever had a season where you had to completely surrender control and trust the process?
- If you’ve faced long periods of waiting, what helped you hold onto hope?
- What lessons have you learned about patience or faith along the way?
I’d love for you to share your story in the comments or reach out me directly on Instagram— your experiences mean so much to me.
We also want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has reached out with prayers, encouragement, and kind words. Through this process, we’ve been able to connect with so many incredible people — even virtually meet new friends across the world. We have people praying for us from as far away as China! It’s humbling and beautiful to know that so many hearts are standing with us. I truly believe prayer can move mountains.
One song that has carried me through this season is Somebody Prayed by Crowder — if you’re walking through your own season of waiting, give it a listen.
And if you’re in need of support or simply want someone to pray for you, please reach out. I’d be honored to add you to my prayer list or just be a listening ear!
With love,
Britt
