Recreating Augusta at Home: A Simple & Fun Masters Celebration
Hi friends,
Did you catch The Masters this year? If not, you missed a great one! I’ve only been into golf for about a year now, but understanding the game has made watching tournaments—especially The Masters—so much more enjoyable.
Ian has fully embraced the golf bug too. So much so that he built a golf simulator in our garage! Before you think it must’ve cost a fortune, let me explain. He pieced it together with finds from Facebook Marketplace and Amazon, keeping it all under $2,500. Still a decent investment, but far cheaper in the long run than constant trips to the driving range—and honestly, it’s become a neighborhood hangout spot!

After a few simulator sessions with the guys, one of them suggested hosting a Masters Party. The moment someone said “party,” I was all in.
Naturally, I turned to IG for inspo, and it did not disappoint. Don’t worry, I didn’t go overboard. Most of what I bought can be reused for future events. Win-win!
The Menu
Our friend Brian has actually attended The Masters three times, and helped us brainstorm the food lineup. With his help—and some IG inspo—we put together a spread worthy of Augusta National:
What We Served:
- Egg Salad Sandwiches
- Pimento Cheese Sandwiches
- Masters Azalea Mocktail
- Carrots, celery, chips & ranch
- Blueberry Muffins
- Golf-themed Oreo Balls (shoutout to Whitney!)
- Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches (Brian again coming in clutch)
What Our Amazing Neighbors Brought:
- Cookies
- Steak & Veggie Skewers
- Chips, Dip, and more Veggies
- Cake Pops
- Plus a few surprise goodies!
Let me know if you want any of the recipes listed above. I can get them created and linked so you can enjoy them too!
The Decor
We kept it fun, festive, and simple—mostly sourced from Amazon (and yes, I returned a few things because #budget).
Here’s what we used to bring The Masters to our home:
- Turf Runner (loved this touch!)
- Plaid Tablecloth
- White flag toothpicks
- Golf Tees (because, why not?)
- Golf Ball Basket
- Authentic Masters cups (thanks again Brian)
I also ordered a Masters flag, but sadly, it didn’t arrive in time. No worries—it’s going up in the garage soon and will definitely be featured in next year’s bash…we decided that we will be making this an annual event!

Final Thoughts
It was such a fun day spent with amazing friends, good food, and a little healthy competition. And yes—I was thrilled to see Rory McIlroy take the win!
Also, I want to thank you for being patient with me these last couple of weeks. I’ve been a little MIA because, honestly, I just haven’t had anything exciting to share. We’re still waiting (rather impatiently) for our genetic test results to come back. It’s been dragging, but I’ll definitely have a bigger IVF update for you soon. Thank you for sticking with me through it all and THANK YOU for all the prayers, we are so grateful for each and everyone of you!
I do have some questions for you all, though!
- Have you ever thrown a themed party like this? Any fun ideas I should try next time?
- Would you try a golf simulator at home? Or is that just Ian’s level of commitment?
- What’s your favorite go-to party snack that always gets devoured?
Thanks for hanging out here with me today. Whether you’re here for the golf talk, the party inspiration, or just to check in—I see you, and I appreciate you. Until next time, keep swinging or sipping mocktails and making space for joy in the little things.
With Love,
Britt
